NFTE Launches Summer Programs and Resources to help Teens Beat the Job Drought!
As the school year winds down and graduation season peaks, teens are on the hunt for jobs. However with the national teen unemployment rate at a staggering 24.2 percent, the outlook for youth summer employment is grim.
Over the course of the summer, NFTE will host programs across the nation and Mexico that will reach almost 500 young people to help address this issue and to empower teens to think and act like an entrepreneurs. Countless more will access NFTE’s free online resource and be able to turn their hobby or interest into a much needed summer job.
NFTE MakeYourJob.org is an online resource to help young people create their own jobs when they are facing such a restricted summer job market. MakeYourJob.org was available last summer but today will be added to on Microsoft’s YouthSpark Hub, which provides access to a multitude of resources to empower youth to change their world.
More information about NFTE summer programs is available at www.nfte.com.
Visit the Microsoft YouthSpark Hub today and check it out for yourself!!
