1) Summer Discovery Business & Entrepreneurship Institute Partial Scholarship:

·         Worth over $3,000 to attend Summer Discovery’s Summer Business Institute! (See attached application for details)

·         Applications must be received by March 22nd, 2013

·         Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

o   Applicants must be moving into junior or senior year during the 2013-2014 school year
o   Applicants must have taken or be currently enrolled in a NFTE Chicago program
o   Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA
o   Applicants must be able to attend the entire program from July 14th through July 27th in Ann Arbor, MI
o   Applicants must have a complete application packet including an application form, business plan, recommendation form, resume and essay response
o   Must be able to fundraise for expenses not covered by the partial scholarship (up to $200).

2) NFTE Chicago Higher Ed Scholarship:

·         $5,000 a year, renewable up to four years! (See attached application for details)

·         First round applications must be postmarked by April 15th, 2013

·         Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

o   Applicants must be currently enrolled in a NFTE class or have completed a NFTE class at one of our Chicago area partner schools.
o   Applicants must have a completed business plan.
o   Applicants must attend a 2 or 4-year college during the 2013-14 School Year
o   Applicants must complete an application to be considered. Finalists will be notified and asked to complete two essay questions and submit additional documentation.

3) Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year Scholarship Fund:

·         At least ten scholarships of $5,000!

·         Applications must be postmarked by April 15th, 2013

·         Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

o   Be enrolled or graduates of the NFTE program, and have participated in one of NFTE’s citywide or regional business plan competitions in that year,

o   Be high school seniors or graduates,

o   Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent),

o   Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire 2013-2014 academic year,

o   Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and/or business, and demonstrated leadership qualities.
